Pull Up ("Pull Up," "we," "us," or "our") operates a mobile app that helps people coordinate plans with friends. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how our Google Calendar integration works.
By creating a Pull Up account, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by using the app, and information from services you choose to connect.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email address (including .edu verification for campus hubs), username, password (encrypted) |
| Profile information | Profile photo, city, reliability stats such as show-up rate |
| Plans & social data | Circles you create or join, plans you make or attend, messages sent in Pull Up chats, join requests |
| Location | City-level location, used to show relevant public plans in Discover |
| Calendar data (optional) | If you connect Google Calendar: your plan events and, when checking for conflicts, the titles/times of your existing calendar events |
| Device & usage data | Device type, app version, push notification tokens, general usage analytics |
If you choose to connect your Google account, Pull Up:
Your Google Calendar data is never shared with other Pull Up users or any third party, and is never used for advertising. Conflict details (like the name of a conflicting event) are shown only to you — never to anyone else, including the host of a plan.
Your Google access and refresh tokens are stored securely on our servers and are never accessible from the app itself. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings, which immediately stops all calendar writes and reads and deletes your stored tokens. You'll be given the option to also remove the dedicated Pull Up calendar from your Google account.
Pull Up relies on trusted service providers to operate. Each only receives the data needed to perform its function:
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, and file storage |
| Stream Chat | Real-time messaging for Circle and plan chats |
| Anthropic (Claude API) | AI plan routing, venue suggestions, icebreakers |
| Google Places API | Venue suggestions and location data |
| Google Calendar API | Optional calendar sync and conflict checking, as described above |
| AWS Rekognition | Automated moderation of profile photos |
| Stripe | Payment processing for Pull Up Pro subscriptions |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your profile, plans, and messages according to our data deletion process. Deleting your account also disconnects any connected Google Calendar and removes stored tokens.
Pull Up is intended for college-age users and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard measures — including encryption, row-level access controls, and restricted server-side access to sensitive data like calendar tokens — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
We may update this policy as Pull Up evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
